I personally like the plastic replacements better. I pulled a fiberglass
cover off my tr250. Didn't fit very well & much harder to "manipulate".
Maybe I just had a bad one?? The plastic cover, available from big 3 among
others, fits very well. Can't comment on the sound characteristics.

My 2 cents,

Todd

        Doug:

I would suggest that you avoid fiberglass in favor of a polyethylene or
polypropylene replacement. They have better noise control characteristics,
although
the stiffness and weight of fiberglass are also desirable.

        Cheers,

        Vance

I'm doing a tradeoff on the cost of duct tape vs replacing a trans tunnel
cover.

Question: Is there any significant difference between the choices of tunnel
cover replacements (durability/fit/cost/ease-of-installation/etc.)? Mainly,
I want to avoid a bad choice.
