I had a heckuva time removing the bolts which hold the transmission mount
crossbracket (Moss p82 #61 for '74 OD-equipped): that is, getting access for
a wrench on the head of the bolts inside the cross bracket. I finally had to
stick the flat of a screwdriver through a very small gap from above to jam
one bolt head (luckily, all nuts turned easily). The trans had been
disconnected from the top of its rubber mounts and lifted. My shop manual
doesn't address this configuration.
Question: Does anyone have any recommendations on how to do this properly or
for a modification to make it easier?
