        Irv:

        Header wrap is also a fire hazard; It will burn very nicely if
you get oil on it, and can take out an engine compartment or an entire
car. Not recommended for street, and it is ugly to boot.
        Ceramic coating is the only way to go; Looks great, prevents rust,
reduces heat, and it is fireproof. Had it on the headers on my
Z-28, and I have decided I will never do another set of headers without it.

Heat shield. Header wrap causes the headers to rot out faster.
