List,
I must be doing something wrong. I marked off the location for my
TR6/British Flag decals so that they are the required 1/2 inch from the edge of
the tail
light and centered. I cleaned the area with Windex to remove any wax and wet
the area with water, as everyone on the list suggested. When I attempted to
place the decal with the back pealed away but with the front paper still in
place, the "T" stuck and came off the paper. I had to remove it thus
destroying
the decal for fear that I could not get it lined up properly.
My decals are not the type that you would apply with water, but are backed by
silver glue. Did I just not get enough water on the surface to prevent the
decal from sticking? I can't remember which of the three I ordered the decals
from, but are they different (wouldn't think so). Some suggested using a
mixture of water and liquid dish washing soap. After my first attempt it would
seem that the soap would help as a wetting agent to better prevent the sticking.
Any comments on what I did wrong are greatly appreciated. Thanks.
