Dear Mr. dirtbeard,

I vote for the permatex. I never had a problem, except of course for my own
idiocy, doing it that way

Hi 6packers,

I am going to replace the core/freeze plugs in the
block. Years back on other engines I just used
Permatex on the block and plug and drove them home.

I thought there may have been some new
developments/better methods as of late, and am
curious as to what, if any, sealant you choose to use.

Thanks again,

old dirtbeard
