There's a company in Rancho Cordova (Sacramento) CA that does excellent work 
on Starters and alternators. They do all the Beck/Arnley "rotating electric", 
among others. They're called Automotive Import Manufacturing or AIM. 

You can reach them at 800-366-3246. Frank Debold is the product manager and 
is very knowledgeable.
