Thanks for all the hints. I DO have a Bentley manual and so I know
where all the nuts and bolts are :-)
It looks like more penetrating oil and a bigger hammer and time is
what's needed (patience too) to get the frame out. I'll keep working
that route. Oh, and yes, I already have all the gauges and wood dash
out :-)
HOWEVER, the big question of the day? That windscreen hold-down bolt
that goes through the center-front of the dash? It turns easily but
won't come out. I'm guessing that whatever that bolt is screwed into
(a nut clipped or welded to the other side or something like that) is
loose and is turning with the bolt. Nothing is easy.
What IS on the other side of that bolt and how can I get at it? I
suspect that if I manage to get the bolt out, whatever is on the
other side will fall into some inaccessible place so I figure I
should ask the list first for its collective wisdom before I do
something stupid :-)
