I read Dick Taylor's response, good stuff.

I fall into a grouping that is likely called "vertically challenged", so
knee room is no problem for me, but I have swapped out my stock steering
wheels on both my TR6's for a smaller unit. I wound up buying a Grant
Signature GT 13" wheel and adapter. These are available everywhere, figure
$75 for the wheel and another $50 or so for the adapter.

I love the smaller wheel, and when I drive a car with an original wheel it
feels totally weird now. It feels weird because of the extra hand motion
needed to get the desired steering input. Truth be told, the TR6 really
does not require heavy hands on the steering wheel, and (in fact) when
driven at/near the limit, the controls are quite light. Yes, it is
possible to "muscle #@<^" the car around, but gentle driving control input
will be a better way to drive.

I don't quite buy the "last of the hairy chested British sports cars"
moniker. Definitely not compared to say an AH3000.

FWIW, I have seen several TR6 folks that drive to / from show with an
aftermarket steering wheel and then remove that one and replace with a
perfect stock steering wheel for car shows. It might seem excessive, but I
guess that depends on what you do with your TR6.
