I have both. I find the EZ-LOK type much better and requires no kit to buy. You basically drill and tap the hole out to the next size, 3/8-16. Screw in the steel or stainless insert, whatever you prefer, and your back to your 5/16 threaded hole. The insert is 3/8 threaded OD and 5/16 threaded ID. These are used heavily in the manufacturing industry. They come in all sizes. |
