Umm... they'd _better_ have steel or iron inserts. If not, the drums would
not last very long at al.

So the answer is "yes, they have the inserts".

Note to buyers of used drums: drums can get very hot under heavy braking.
Check any used drums you intend to purchase or have purchased for heat
"checking" or the existance of cracks in the steel liner.

In addition to the max diameter of the inside of the drum, cracks make the
drum a candidate for the "ash bin".

Move scene to a garage somewhere...
