I appreciate all the great responses regarding emergency hood release ideas.
I have one follow up question though. I installed the Moss emergency release
(basically just a replacement hood release T-cable (no housing) that you
run through a hole in the firewall and run through to the existing release
arm along with the primary cable. The problem I see is that it uses the same
anchor as the primary hood release and if that breaks both the primary and
back up are toast! Here is the question. How many people have seen that part
break off? I assume one could drill an extra hole into the release arm for
the back up but am I being overly cautious here?
