I drilled a hole in the side of the right footwell near the top and directly in
line with the cable connection point on the release lever. The original inner
cable and "T" handle goes through the hole and connects to the lever. Of course
most of the cable is extra length now and can be cut off. It is amazing how
easy it pulls. I have this as my only release but it can also be done as an
emergency release.
