The bearings are ordered. Joachim Gunst said they should be in the mail
on Friday, and be here in a week to 10 days.
I will order the 3/8" dowel pins. I must order them in boxes of 50. Two
are needed to install the clutch bearing. Since I need to order 100,
some of you will get three of them. Others will get two of them. Can't
remember the cost -- $10.00 for 50 or something like that.
The 37 bearings will be sent by air in two shipments.
There is an additional EUR 33 ($33.00) for insurance from Germany: $0.89
each. I didn't know about that -- new news.
I will check on insurance from me to you. I think Nelson said it was
$2.00. I will verify. If you don't want insurance from me to you, it's
OK with me, but you are on your own. Without insurance, I have no way to
prove I sent you the bearing. If you don't get the bearing, I guess you
kiss the $100.00 or so good-bye.
Visa (US) charges 1% to convert the $US to EUR. Also new news. My local
Visa bank doesn't charge anything additional for it -- I guess they
could.
I will wait to see what shows up on my Visa before sending you a bill. I
can see the Visa charges as they come through on-line.
