Robert,
I have the Hobart 135 with the gas kit. It has worked fine for me. I used
it to weld an exhaust system for my 78 Land Cruiser and it works well
within the cycle time. This would be the only minus if you have a lot of
welding at one time. The price you quote is about half what I paid for the
unit on sale. If this include the gas tank you will save another 100 to 200
dollars depending on tank size. YMMV
