Dick,
Your comments about your trade caused me to remember my brother trading
in his '53 Corvette for $800 against a '59 TR3. As a young boy I
remember his relief at finally being rid of the underpowered, leaky,
rattle-prone Corvette! Interesting how our perception of cars changes
over the years.
I felt the same relief in getting rid of my gas guzzling '70 Challenger
RT/SE 383 w/pistol grip 4-speed and trading even for a '73 Gremlin X.
Boy, would I like to have that deal back!

I watched part of this auction last night, also. What caught my
attention was the top price paid for a gorgeous, 1954 Corvette at
$83,000. Just like the one I sold in 1958 for $1400. Maybe my '73 will
be worth that much in 20 more years. Wake me!
Dick
