Hi Aaron,

I assume you mean by non-return valve the white plastic thing on the front
(top?) of the servo that the hose from the intake manifold attaches to? If
so, read on, otherwise sorry for my confusion...

I was able to get the valve off by using two large flat blade screw drivers
to pry it up from opposite sides simultaneously (ie. 12 and 6 o'clock for
example). That valve is pretty sturdy so the main worry is denting the servo
while prying. I used two thin pieces of soft wood (like paint stir sticks
from Home Depot) between the screw driver and the servo and just pried until
the valve popped out. The wood protects the servo from scratches and spreads
the load of the screw drivers to prevent denting. The valve itself is in a
rubber gasket so there will be some give to allow it to be pried out. Some
silicone spray to lube the gasket will help. At least that's how it worked
for me. A helper is nice to hold the wood in place. I did mine on the car so
holding the servo was not an issue, but it might be an additional issue for
you, perhaps you could temporarily mount it to the car while you and a
helper do this.

HTH.
