Shane---A CR of 7.75:1 is 'safe enough' with a blower like Mitch has,
when putting out around 6 lb. of boost. Stock pistons and rods are
adequate, as well as the large SU that goes with his "kit". It's true
that a CR of 7.0 would allow higher boost pressures, but the engine
would probably be a dog when running off-boost.
I'm afraid that a blown, high CR motor motor is sort of an oxy-moron.
Otherwise known as a motor that can only make one trip down the drag
strip. Again, it depends on the CR and the amount of boost pressure
output.
I don't know how long it took to bolt on Mitch's SC, but six hours
doesn't seem unreasonable, here.
Come back, Mitch!
