Marty---If you were only going to fit new trailing arm bushings, you could have just separated the axle at the splined joint. If you intend to go further, you're still OK. Note that it will only go back in one way, by matching the larger "key" on the spline. Use a good Moly grease on the male spline before re-installing. Get a local price for rebuilding the diff. if you think this is necessary. Compare this price to what the Big Three (?) charge, adding in shipping. Ask for a warranty in advance. Dick |
