I'm replying late to this one but thought I'd add a couple of thoughts to
the ones already posted:
1. Powder coating is extremely durable but it's quite hard to match an
existing color. So for owners of later cars who want to re-use their silver
painted plastic hub caps (or whatever those things with the TR6 logo are
called), you may have a mis-match with the paint. If you use the earlier
black hub caps, no problem.
2. The trim rings were a North America only option, other markets had nekked
wheels for a lighter and less glitzy look. After the rings are installed
even once on a wheel, the paint will be scratched off where the spring clips
grab the rim. Something to consider when fitting them to newly re-finished
wheels.
Cheers all.
