Subject: | Adjust Position of reverse gate? |

I have always had a bit of trouble shifting into reverse on my TR6. Today, while installing a new anti-rattle spring, I noticed that the reverse gate on the gear box sit slightly forward from the 3-4 and 1-2 gates. This makes the anti-rattle spring hang up a bit as the lever moves to shift into reverse. I don't think this is normal. I checked Bentley and Haynes and they give no procedure for adjusting the position of the gates. Is there a way to do this? Thanks, Hugh Fader |
