Zindel---You should get a cam card with the new Kent cam. On it will
tell the recommended valve lash and timing. Nearly all symmetrical
street cams have a "0" setting for degrees, which will match up to the
stock cam now in the engine. Degree wheels are nice to have, but since
our stock gears have no adjustments to speak of, the new cam should be
fine, so long as you don't miss the timing by a tooth.

Follow the manual, and if it is silent in this respect, it's of help to
have the engine stopped exactly on "0" degrees, (TDC) with the rotor
pointing directly at #1 (spark plug) cap wire, before any teardown
begins. Then look for your original timing marks, as they should be "in
line" on the chain sprockets.

Removing the head is necessary to replace the lifters.
