Rick---Check all of the connections where the wires from the alternator
join with those at the wiring harness, or at the original white, nylon
plug, should you still have this in use. Something's not telling the
regulator to cut back on the charging. If all looks good here, some auto
parts stores will do a free check on the alt. itself.
