Thanks for responding Fred.
It makes the sound only when in gear. Doesn't matter whether the clutch is
engaged or not. So I guess the theory is that the gearbox input shaft is
spinning only when in gear which in turn rattles the throwout bearing.
Position of the clutch doesn't matter. Do I have that right?
