you could argue that it's a good safety feature (kind of) that when the
master cylinder goes, it leaks out the fluid in the safety of your own
driveway. I would rather have it leak there than while cruising down a
mountainside and discovering "look ma, no brakes!"
anyway, your problem has happened many times to many other TR owners.

Subject: Brake Troubles
Hi All,
I have been driving my TR6 allot lately with all the nice weather here in
New
England. I jumped in the car today after it sat for two days and started it.
My brake pedal went right to the floor! No drive tonight! Anyway all the
brake
fluid was gone...and it was a little wet where the master cylinder bolts up.
It seems odd the master cylinder would fail while sitting. The brakes seemed
fine the last time I drove it. I guess I will pull it apart in the next day
or
so. Anyone else have this happen?
Thanks! Charles
