I believe Mustang II suspensions are adapted quite frequently to expensive
American street rods, replacing obsolete suspensions from the '30s and '40s.
Among other advantages, they have disk brakes ...
However, before getting too carried away about their virtues, I believe a
major appeal is that they are cheap, since there are (or were) many Mustang
II's in junkyards. A "new" front suspension and brakes from one of those
would probably cost about $50, tops.

That's interesting about the Mustang front end. I was told that when I
got my Carrera shocks. Initially, I was upset that the suspension was
similar to a Mustang II, but was quickly corrected that it was in fact a
fine suspension. Still a bit hard to swallow though.

I recently e-mailed KYB looking for front shocks for my 75 Tr6. There is
no "official" listing for the Tr6 by KYB.
