Just finished rebuilding the window channels and replacing the winders on my
TR6 this afternoon. It all went pretty well. Only a couple of complications.
I bent up one of the brackets removing its rusted-in fastener. Also, found
the spring on the L/H door remote control broken. This prevented the door
from locking from the inside. Not a function I use often, but figured I'd
try to repair it. Couldn't find a replacement spring locally, so I cut and
bent the old spring to make it work.
Took it out for a spin. Boy what a difference! When the windows aren't
rattling as you travel over every little bump, the car seems much much more
solid. Just thought I'd share.
Regards,
Hugh Fader
