Hugh---I have found it futile to merely put in a threaded plug in trying to stop oil from leaking at this area of high pressure. Threads need something to tighten against. After trying all of the common threads seals, I opted for a bolt that 'runs out of threads' about 1/2" from its head. Now it bottoms out when tightened. No more leak. Here, anyway. Dick |
