Walt---As you may know, spring free length is only one of the measurements that determine compressed height. The diameter of the wire and the number of coils is also relative. (The more coils per relative spring length, the lower the rate, and of course the thicker the wire the higher the rate.) It is an easy check to compare these numbers to the springs that you are replacing. Springs will sag, rather than grow. Dick SAH___ semi-comp. springs |
