Hi again Jim,
I hope I listed all the TR250 through TR6 carb variations at the beginning
of
http://www.buckeyetriumphs.org/technical/Carbs/CarbsI/CarbsI.htm
I have two sets of carbs that some POs replaced the air valves to get the
adjustable needles. Both sets work great.
You can also modify your air valves to use adjustable needles. See

Subject: Re: Zenith Stromberg Question
OK, I couldn't wait until morning. It turns out that I thought I had
late model ZS carbs (white caps, 3771 tag number) The piston has a
non-adjusting needle from the early carbs. This could be an early carb
with late model parts. Who knows. My "parts" carbs have the recess for
the carb adjusting tool, but these do not. Are there any other
differences between the early and late model carbs besides the
adjustable needle? I know it says not to switch carb components, but
can I switch a late model adjustable needle / piston assembly with an
earlier one? I can't tell if these are truly an early model carb set
with late model parts or a late model carb set with an early model
piston/ needle asssembly.
Any thoughts?
Thanks!!
