take off the wiper knob and unscrew the chrome nut holding the switch on,
unscrew the bracker holding the glove box door onto the frame. reach up
under the dash and unscrew the the speedo cable and the tach cable..also
unscrew the two knurled nuts holding both in place..(these are all feely
tasks) undo the screws on the outside face of the dash and gently wiggle the
whole thing out..you can then undo all the connects and lights on teh
instruments but LABEL all the wires so that you know where they go when you
put it back.. be very gentle when you pull on the dash..it doesn't take much
to pull the wires out of the bulb sockets and then you have a terrible job
soldering them back together..been there done that....

I am just putting mine back after refinishing the dash
