Hi Folks, I'm new to the list, but I thought I would offer some info on the
tire discussion. I purchased a 76 TR 6 / Hardtop / OD from a Florida couple a
few years ago. The car had some nice Michelin original looking redlines.
They probably only had 8 to 10 thousand miles on them, but they would make
noise on corning and didn't stick to the road very good. Ithink the rubber
compound was too hard. I found a replacement tire through a club member that
made all the difference in the world! I purchased 205/70R15 Dunlop Axiom Plus
Redlines. These are brand new tires, not reprocessed tires like some companies
offer to give you the redline look. The red is bright and doesn't turn pink
like some I have seen. The cost was around 130.00 which isn't cheap, but the
performance and quality is there. The company was Diamond Back Classics and
I'm sure they have a Website. I question if there is anyone in this group who
have tried them. They make my British Green 6 look great and handle like a
modern sportscar. Dave Silveira, Membership Dir.,British Motorcars of
