HI Walt:
Since you successfully bled the rear brakes perhaps the PDWA is not 
"centered".  There is a procedure in the Bentley and Haynes manuals to 
correct this situation.  Or, are your front bleed screws fully opened when 
you start pumping?  Does anything come out of the bleed screws when they are 
loosened?  Crimped hose?  Heck, I don't know!  Just some random thoughts.
