Chassis Frame

I recently purchased a TR6 that had been restored in the early 90's. However
the chassis frame has been painted with underseal, the same as inside the
guards. I want to strip the frame and repaint to a smooth finish. Any idea's
on stripping the underseal off and what products to use to paint the frame.
