I've only seen the Speed Channel ad with the NASCAR pit crew changing the
sign....and a quick shot of a NASCAR race. I've seen that one about a
hundred times. Maybe I missed the ad you are talking about? They are
still running the older Speedvision (as opposed to Speed Channel) promo ads
too with F1 and other series..could it have been one of the old ones? I
was TV-less over the past weekend..what did Bob Varsha say about F1? I
certainly hope you are right that they will continue to carry F1, WRC and
other events. Some of the old plane shows were ok, the boats shows were
pretty bad....all the more reason why I got Tivo.

See this link:

for the following quote (which neither proves or disproves what's going to
happen):

"George Pyne and Paul Brooks, executives at sanctioning body NASCAR, will
lend expertise to the network.
"We don't think it can be just NASCAR 24 hours a day out of the gate,"
Brooks says. "It will have some other racing elements. That's probably the
right mix to get us started."
Adds Liberatore: "We're a niche, but within that, we have to be as broad as
possible. We want to be the mall. Some go for GNC, some go for Cinnabon.
You need both."

And, I think it was the new issue of GrassRoots Motorsports that listed the
3PM-midnight NASCAR programing slot, fyi
