Robert,
To the best of my knowledge, the gear sets aren't "matched" mainshaft
to countershaft except to get the correct gear for the year and type.
The tolerances in the TR box aren't nearly that precise. I have been
'mixing and matching' for 15 years with no ill effects.
If a person isn't experienced in rebuilding these boxes, I'd recommend
they get a 'set' of gears from an old box (rather than picking thru a
pile of gears like I do) to be sure of not assembling incompatible
gears.
Good luck and Happy New Year!
Jim
