Hi Matt, I think I at one point was the youngest
person on the 6pack list. I'm 21 now though so I guess
that was a few years ago already. I got my TR6 my 8th
grade summer. It was absolute junk, I hauled if off of
a farm. When I was a sophomore I really got in to it.
I did a complete frame off restoration. My dad is the
highschool shop teacher, so I had a key to the shop.
It was great. Rebuilt the engine my sophomore year in
highschool. Wasted a bunch of time and finally painted
it my senior year. I finished the project just after I
graduated. Had some nagging troubles with the carb and
ignition system. Had a short in the distributor! took
forever - as in a year - to find.(Crane XR-700 elec.
ingition kit has a metal piece that can get to close
to the #4 sparkplug terminal, but only sometimes.. not
always, making it really hard to find) But now it
runs great. The regular carbs are decent. I'd
recommend getting it going with them first and if you
want power more than you can change them over then. I
love my car now that it runs great. I actually depend
on it for transportaion on a daily basis. I go to
school in Washington and drove it home to California
750 miles no troubles. I lived in Santa Cruz this
summer and drove it to work everyday with the top down
along the coast. Goodtimes! Its great fun driving the
TR6 because people will stare at you, give you a
thumbs up, or just smile. And at the gas station
people always want to chat about it. Its fun. Oh yeah
and chics dig it! "You're car is SOOOO cute" Even if
they do just like you're car its a good place to
start! Ha ha.. ok so anyway Have a great time with
your car and good luck.

74 1/2 TR6 <-- you need to find out if your 74 is a
1/2 this could save you lots of money and heartache. I
wish I had known the difference before buying,
installing and painting a front end!! ack! that hurt!
