With all the recent conversation regarding SU Carbs on TR6's I have a
couple of questions.
I have what I think are the older type HS6's on my six (from a TR4A) and
they are the
non-biased (or non-spring loaded type). The car runs rich at present and I
am looking into
possible other needle choices. The Triumphtune catalog I have mentions BAE
needles
for mildly enhanced performance engines but I cannot use the 3 letter code
needles. I have
to use the 2 letter code needles (eg. TW - standard TR4A needles). My
question is can
I convert to the biased type easily or not.
And secondly what needles are other people running in their sixes with the
HS6 carbs.
My intention is to fit an air-fuel meter in the future to get some accurate
idea of what to do
but thought I'd ask to give myself a head start on the selection process.
