Ken---Go with the spark plug brand that gave you the original 16,000
miles. If you can no longer read it after 25 years, it's probably the
Champion 12NYC. Add an "R" to this for radio static control. This is
about as good as it gets, unless a high energy ignition system has been
added.
In my opinion, there is nothing to be gained from a spark plug that has
multi ground electrodes, when it only gets a single spark from the stock
system. A possible exception would be if the plugs foul quickly, and
paths of lesser resistance could keep this type of plug firing for more
miles.
