front wheel bearings

Listers,

I'm replacing my front wheel bearings and I noticed that Moss provides a kit 
(oil seal and 2 bearings). However, my manuals show that there's also a 
"Felt Washer" that isn't even pictured in the Moss catalog.
Do you think I could just reuse the originals?
Does anyone have insights to share on this task?
