My thoughts - I wonder if this was the same philosophy used when the Borg
and Beck product became an issue.  Most of these TR6s are not modified
and I dare say there are probably more carberetted cars than PI cars
still in existence.  There is a reason for all the wear on the mechanical
and hydraulic components on these cars and I believe that plate spring
pressure is the culprit.  Often times people think that "if a little is
good...more must be better"  You don't say if the spring force was
increased on the Turbo model but I suspect it was.  So much for "clutch
lore".....seems to be a lot of people out there with TR6 clutch problems.
