In addition to replacing the clutch/TO bearing/etc Dick Taylor also advised
me to check out the play in the pedal box
the hole nearest the tranmission tunnel was enlongated causing some of the
shifting problems with first to second and into reverse.

The pedal box didn't take all that long to remove considering the labor(s)
involved with removing the interior. The other issue I had to resolve
(after putting everything back together) was the slave cylinder I'd bought
from British Parts Northwest (a year earlier) mounting ears/castings were
3/8" less in thickness than a
slave cylinder I got from Moss. I found this out after the slave cylinder
piston pushed out of the back of the BPNW cylinder a couple of times.
Believe the BPNW worked before the rebuilding due to the play in the pedal
box. Don't forget the bolt through the fork.
