  Greetings all,
has anyone else been experiencing problems with
Grundy's classic car insurance?? Here in Massachusetts, it seems
everyone I've spoken to has had one type of problem or another,
including myself. I ended up getting a cancellation notice and a late
charge, after having recieved no bill to let me know I owed them another
$17. My insurance agent took care of things, including the $25 late
charge, but then I started hearing all sorts of things from other club
members. Everything ranging from having to wait 7 weeks for the
insurance to take effect, and only after a complete history of
everything ever done to a TR6 since the person owned it before it
finally got insured, to one fellow who was driving around with the
understanding that he had insurance, and after wondering why he hadn't
recieved the policy in the mail or the processed check he paid with,
someone dropped the ball and told him they lost the check, the photos,
the application and the forms....he's going back to his regular company.
Two others are having similar problems at this time.
It just seems that when this insurance program was started in this
state there were no problems getting the insurance. Now that they have
their foot in the door, they seem to be picking and choosing who they
want as customers, and even then the service is severely lacking. It
really makes me wonder what would happen should I ever have to file a
claim.
Sorry to have to climb on the soapbox for this, but I'm curious
what others in this state have been experiencing.
     TIA for any comments,
Kevin Thompson
