Hi Jerry...
I have Jet-Hot on two cars and can attest that it helps keep the
engine temp down and does last.
In 1990 I had it put on the exhaust manifolds for the XK-E. I chose
the satin black as being closest to the black ceramic that was
originally on the manifolds. I can send you a photo, but can tell you
that it looks identical to day one...11 years ago!! Even in the 85-90
degree weather that we have been having here, the temp gauge needle
goes to N-O (of NORMAL) on the gauge...and that's it. However, the
radiator was recored in 1993, so that may be a big reason as well.
The other car that it's on is a 1967 corvette 327/350. That color is
the pale grey. It has also been on for quite awhile. That car doesn't
run hot either and if its radiator was recored, it was over 10 years
ago. We had cause to test Jet-Hot's warranty, too. Tiny rust specks
started showing up on the vette about a year later. Yes, we had to get
the manifolds off again, but Jet Hot redid them at no cost.
