Walt---You mentioned that the 'new' needles look to be thicker than the ones to be replaced. If that is true, it would explain why you are running rich. The stock needle should be stamped B1AF up on the shank. This number is visable when you pull the needle down from its case. B2Y's are sometimes used in the early 6 and give a richer mix thruout the rpm band. If you find the number to be different than either of these two, I ma be able to tell you what car it came from if you're interested. (Unless it's home-made) Dick T. |
