I set out to change my stock air filter elements and discovered that my newly purchased Unipart filters are 1/4 inch taller (thicker) than the old ones coming out of the car. Both sets bear the same part number, GFE 1020. My old ones are 2" thick, the new ones are 2 1/4". Because of this extra thickness the air filter can won't close up very well with the new filters. Anyone else see this? Have a solution? _________________________________________________________________ |
