Darrell----I hope your wife doesn't see this, but...If you live in a
"strict emissions region" they might also check to see if the P.I. was
part of the original equipment on your car. Very few had it. It is no
guarantee that you can get a leaner mix than with a pair of well
adjusted carbs. (New cars do well with this because of computer
control.) On the other hand, if your emissions certificate centers are
anything like most of California's, all they seem to care about is the
tail pipe emissions, and really don't know what a TR engine should look
like. If you should someday end up with the fuel injection AND get to do
an emissions check, please let us know how you fared.
