Yes, I agree, but a square bore/stroke has the greatest efficiency possible
(S. Honda wrote a big engineering paper proving this).
Also, more cubes are always better :)

After a number of TR7s (still one of the most comfortable British sports
cars I've driven), and a ten year absence from British cars, I'm looking to
get into TR6s. I know them pretty well from helping my brother-in-law
restore a couple.
How far can you bore-out a TR6 engine? Can you make the bore and stroke
square?
