Bill-If the sol. chatters, the problem is probably in the sol. Remove the boot and the plastic cap. Check the contact points and dress with point file or emory cloth. Also, check for broken wires. If the sol. works, install and check the valve adj with the 3/16" rod. Since the OD functions when moving the lever, I don't think the problem is in the unit. At worst you may have to spring for a new sol. Berry |
