Jim---If this reply isn't too late, here's what I would advise. Go
ahead and change the oil and filter. If you're lucky, the head gasket
wasn't displaced with all of this untorquing.
Pull all of the spark plugs out. This is to prevent the possibility of a
hydraulic lock when you crank the engine over with the starter. If no
water comes pouring out of the plug holes, this is good. If water does
come out, keep turning the engine over till it quits. Put the plugs in
and start the engine. Any residual coolant will quickly burn off. I
wouldn't take the engine down for this reason.
You may also kick yourself proudly for loosening ALL of the head bolts!
