Jim----Don't be too hard on these cars. One of them ran 174MPH on the Salt Flats with nothing more than turbocharging, propane for fuel, and water injection. Or so the story goes. (TURBOCHARGERS, by Hugh MacInnes--HPBooks) Once they fixed the swing-arm rear suspension, they weren't all that bad. Trouble is they got a bad rap from Nader and his infamous book about the early models. DT |
